說明

  • 產生縮寫文字與原名的模版，滑鼠停留在本模板上時會顯示原名。
  • 請不要將 Abbr 用在非縮寫的場合，如果只是需要附加說明，可以使用 Template:Ref 。
  • 於中文翻譯名詞上附加外文原文算是一種合理使用，但請優先考慮使用 模板:Ruby 。

Usage

The template takes two unnamed parameters.

meaning – the expansion or definition of the abbreviated term; shows as the popup when you hover over the abbreviation. No wikimarkup an be used in this parameter.
2
abbreviation – the abbreviation, acronym, or initialism to be explained; shows as text, and may use wikimarkup, such as a link to an article about what it refers to.

Example
